Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites. You will diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, perform retrofits and upgrades, and provide on-call support.

Travel to locations is required, with emphasis on safety and clear communication with customers. Candidates should have a technical electrical background, 3+ years of troubleshooting experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license with clean driving record and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations of fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Procure tools, equipment and parts for customer service and support.
