Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cells in customer sites, performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, safe driving, and the ability to provide timely service and reporting.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, field retrofits, on-call support, parts purchasing, and maintaining service logs. Travel to customer sites is required, and safety is a top priority in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Complete incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and site documentation.
• Travel as required; represent Plug Power in a professional manner.
