Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service fuel cells in customer sites, including diagnostics and field upgrades. The role emphasizes strong technical and communication skills, with on-site responsibilities and periodic travel.

The position is Non-Exempt (hourly) and requires lifting up to 50 pounds, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Lift truck knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Adhere to safety procedures and drive safely to sites.
