Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service fuel cells installed in electric lift trucks at a designated location. You will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, with a focus on safety and customer communication.

The role involves field retrofits and upgrades, reporting events, ordering parts, and maintaining service logs. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong technical skills are required for site-based work.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and work at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate to maintain fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support and report breakdown events as required.
• Order tools, equipment, and parts for service needs and maintain documentation.
