Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks at a Walmart site in Ochelata, OK. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and assist with installation and servicing of fuel cells at the location.

The role requires troubleshooting expertise, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver's license. You will interact with customer personnel, maintain service logs, and ensure safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• I3 or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license with clean driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude required.
• Computer and software skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Dynamic interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Creativity in solving technical problems.
• Ability to work independently.

• Technician must provide own standard set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at the location.
• Specialized service procedures including field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for field service as required.
• May troubleshoot high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, and related systems.
• Maintain communication with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers.
• Provide feedback to regional service representatives on performance and issues.
• Complete incident reports, service logs, inventory, and site documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures in the field.
• Travel as required for business needs and drive safely.
• Represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
