Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC, seeks an Electrical Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support FSNL gas turbine test operations. You will work across HV/LV distribution, protection systems, and power equipment, owning electrical drawings, specs, and safety procedures.

You will partner with mechanical/process teams to ensure designs meet test needs, coordinate with vendors, and drive reliability improvements while maintaining a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years experience, or 2-year degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with electrical commissioning in power generation facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards for large-scale energy systems.
• Hands-on testing/commissioning of switchgear, MCCs, transformers and protection relays.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture across electrical test and manufacturing activities.
• Provide technical direction for electrical design, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate electrical projects with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Process Engineering to meet system requirements.
• Develop electrical specifications for power transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and protection systems.
• Maintain electrical drawings and documentation.
• Support day-to-day electrical engineering for safe test execution.
• Support root-cause analysis and ongoing electrical reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation-related issues with controls devices.
