Job summary

GE Vernova's Schenectady Technology Lab is seeking a Senior Facility Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical infrastructure for our test facility. You will oversee MV/LV systems, from 15 kV feeds to 120 V and DC control, ensuring safe, reliable, and innovative solutions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate major projects with EPCs and vendors, and ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API and OSHA standards in a 100% onsite role at Schenectady, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years in facility or industrial power systems.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical infrastructure from 15 kV to 120 V and DC control systems.
• Design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of MV/LV systems.
• Oversee vendor packages, RFQs, FATs, and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with EPCs and partners.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA and related standards.
