Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC seeks an Electrical Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support FSNL gas turbine test operations. The role covers high and low voltage distribution, electrical protection, and commissioning across test facilities.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams, manage electrical projects, and maintain electrical drawings and documentation to ensure safe, reliable test execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Electrical Technology with relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical commissioning in power generation facilities.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for large-scale energy systems.
• Hands-on testing of switchgear, MCCs, transformers and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture across electrical test and manufacturing activities.
• Serve as a key FSNL test team member providing technical direction for electrical design, commissioning, operation and testing.
• Lead electrical project coordination with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Process Engineering to align electrical designs with system requirements.
• Engage with suppliers during procurement: RFQ, evaluations, drawings, testing, commissioning and O&M planning.
• Develop and review electrical specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panels, and protection systems.
• Create and implement electrical safety procedures including LOTO.
• Maintain SKM electrical model and perform arc-flash studies as needed.
• Maintain drawings, documentation, equipment records and engineering files.
• Provide daily electrical engineering support to ensure safe, reliable gas turbine testing.
• Identify spare-parts requirements for electrical equipment.
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement for electrical systems.
• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot instrumentation-related issues.
