Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC seeks an Electrical Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support FSNL gas turbine test operations. You will handle high voltage distribution, protection systems, and electrical equipment commissioning in a safety‑driven, fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage electrical studies in SKM, and drive continuous improvement for reliability and safety of test facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or 2-year degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with electrical commissioning in power generation facilities.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards for large-scale energy systems.
• Hands-on testing/commissioning: Switchgear, MCCs, power distribution panels, protection relays.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture across electrical test and manufacturing activities.
• Provide technical direction for electrical design, commissioning, operation and testing of systems.
• Lead procurement support: RFQ development, vendor reviews, equipment testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Process Engineering to align electrical designs with system requirements.
• Develop and review electrical specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panels and protection systems.
• Maintain electrical drawings, documentation, and SKM model; support arc-flash assessments.
