Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with a confident, friendly greeting, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty. This part-time role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and maintain confidentiality while supporting shortage reduction programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, or loss prevention experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Confidentiality and disciplined decision making in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances/exits and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
