Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor store entrances, greet customers with energy and confidence, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Stand at the front of the store, remain vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress standards, radio, and earpiece.
• Communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies and training sessions.
• Support store leadership and assist with shortage reduction programs.
