Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Risk Associate to join the Issues and Events program. You will work on the front line to identify and mitigate risks, partnering with business teams and risk functions to implement effective solutions.

You will help govern events and issues across the Global Payments Network, supporting governance, reporting, and change management while becoming a subject matter expert on processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Military Experience.
• At least 1 year of Risk Management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• At least 1 year of Google Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with multiple first and second line teams and be a subject matter expert for event and issue governance.
• Participate in defining the methodology and problem management process to show adherence to enterprise standard requirements.
• Be recognized as the subject matter expert on the team for event and issue governance.
• Assist with Pre-closure quality review of event and issues for closure.
• Identify key areas of opportunity and trends.
• Track and update process documentation.
• Resolve or escalate impediments as needed.
• Support team with governance, reporting and change management.
• Assist with creating and using reporting and program metrics for the broader team and senior leadership.
