Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Risk Associate to join the front line of defense in Richmond or McLean. The role partners with business teams to identify and mitigate risks and supports governance for events and issues across the network.

You will help implement enterprise-standard practices and produce essential risk reports. Ideal candidates have risk management experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Military Experience.
• At least 1 year of Risk Management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• At least 1 year of Google Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with first and second line teams and recognized as subject matter expert for event and issue governance.
• Participates in defining the methodology and problem management process to show adherence of enterprise standard requirements.
• Be recognized as the subject matter expert on the team for event, and issue governance.
• Assist with the Pre-closure quality review process of event and issues for closure.
• Identify key areas of opportunity and trends.
• Tracking and updating process documentation.
• Resolve or escalate impediments as needed.
• Support team with overall governance, reporting and change management.
• Assist with the creation and use of various reporting and program metrics for the broader team and senior leadership.
