Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Risk Associate to work with business partners to identify and mitigate risks on the front line of our payments network. You will be part of a fast-moving team that partners across lines of business to strengthen governance and risk controls.

You will help define methodologies, document processes, and support reporting and metrics for senior leadership while serving as a subject matter expert on events and issues in the Global Payments Network Risk

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Military Experience.
• At least 1 year of Risk Management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• At least 1 year of Google Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with multiple first and second line teams and recognized as subject matter expert for event and issue governance
• Participates in defining the methodology and problem management process to show adherence of enterprise standard requirements
• Be recognized as the subject matter expert on the team for event, and issue governance
• Assist with the Pre-closure quality review process of event and issues for closure
• Identify key areas of opportunity and trends
• Tracking and updating process documentation
• Resolve or elevate impediments as needed
• Support team with overall governance, reporting and change management
• Assist with the creation and use of various reporting and program metrics for the broader team and senior leadership
