Job summary

AdvanSix's First Line Supervisor position oversees hourly employees, guiding daily tasks to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets within a unionized manufacturing environment. It emphasizes adherence to procedures, continuous improvement, and effective leadership across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in technical field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to ensure tasks meet targets.
• Plan procedures and budgets per collective bargaining agreement.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage 10–20 person department to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
• Communicate with team leaders and shifts on safety and productivity.
• Establish standardized work and drive 5S activities.
