Job summary

AdvanSix Inc. in Hopewell, VA, is seeking a Lead First Line Supervisor to direct hourly staff and drive safety, quality, and productivity across a 24/7 manufacturing area.

You will manage shifts, enforce standard work, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with team leaders. Responsibilities include planning procedures and budgets under the collective bargaining agreement, coaching employees, and upholding health and environmental regulations while guiding a 10–20

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• 24/7 operation and rotating shifts experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical process operations and Lean tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports to ensure tasks meet targets.
• Plan procedures and budgets per bargaining agreement.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Coach team leaders and employees for performance.
• Manage 10–20 employee department to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
