Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a First Line Supervisor to direct hourly employees and drive attainment of operational targets in a manufacturing environment. You will oversee safety, quality, productivity, and cost while ensuring adherence to standard work and procedures.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in a unionized setting, and competence in ERP/timekeeping systems to manage schedules, pay, and performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
• 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant experience highly valued
• Supervisory experience preferred and ability to lead teams in a union environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports to ensure tasks are completed
• Plan procedures and budgets in line with union agreements
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives
• Direct team to improve processes and performance
• Manage 10–20 person department for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost
