Job summary

AdvanSix is hiring a First Line Supervisor in Richmond, VA to direct hourly employees and ensure operational targets are met. You will oversee daily tasks, implement standard work, and drive continuous improvement within a 10–20 person department while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include supervising teams, budgeting, coordinating with shifts, and training team leaders. A strong safety mindset and Six Sigma principles are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/related degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant environments.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to achieve tasks and targets.
• Plan and administer procedures and budgets per contract and safety rules.
• Lead continuous improvement and standard work across the department.
• Manage 10–20 person team to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.
