Job summary

AdvanSix seeks a First Line Supervisor to direct hourly staff, meet safety, quality, and efficiency targets, and drive continuous improvement in a 24/7 manufacturing setting in Hopewell, VA. You will oversee a 10–20 person team, manage schedules, train leaders, and ensure adherence to standard work.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to work in a unionized environment, and experience with ERP systems and lean tools. Competitive benefits and pay range are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/related degree preferred.
• 2-5 years in manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a Kellogg Ammonia Plant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to achieve operational targets and standards.
• Plan and administer procedures and budgets per collective bargaining agreement.
• Lead problem identification and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Engage leaders and employees to improve department processes and performance.
• Manage 10-20 person department focusing on safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
