Job summary

Advansix is seeking a First Line Supervisor to direct hourly staff and ensure tasks align with operational targets. You will oversee safety, quality, delivery, and productivity in a 10-20 person department, guiding problem-solving and standardized work through continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires supervising teams, training employees, and maintaining adherence to procedures while coordinating with shift leaders and ensuring a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or lead-operator experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant environments is a plus.
• Strong safety and environmental awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to achieve tasks tied to targets and standards.
• Plan procedures and budgets in line with union guidelines.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage 10-20 employee department to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
• Oversee standard work and conduct performance appraisals.
