Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day package sortation, manage a staff of Package Handlers, and ensure safety and compliance across policies and regulations.

You will guide performance, train new hires, conduct meetings, and collaborate with linehaul when needed to optimize cost and quality. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and a proven ability to inspire teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in related areas or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and manage assigned staff.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
• Ensure safe and efficient package sortation and compliance with FedEx policies.
• Conduct daily meetings to communicate goals and updates; public speaking as needed.
• Train new employees on job duties and performance expectations and safety rules.
• Mentor less-experienced supervisors and adapt to changing business needs.
