Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to protect the store and provide outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty while upholding Burlington's safety standards.

This role supports shortage reduction programs, trains associates, and emphasizes a confident, friendly, and energetic approach with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detail.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits and high-risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic greeting and maintain professional appearance.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious activity and report to Manager on Duty.
• Support shortage reduction programs and train associates on processes.
• Collaborate with store leadership to promote safety and security standards.
