Job summary

Burlington is hiring for a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and support loss-prevention programs with a professional appearance and clear communications.

Candidates should have 1+ years in customer-facing roles, be comfortable with standing for long periods, and be capable of training others on shortage reduction processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Protect the store by monitoring entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to reduce theft.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, loud, and friendly greeting.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates as needed.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious activity and report to Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
