Job summary

The Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) in Staten Island seeks a Frontline Advocate to support survivors of domestic and gender-based violence at the Staten Island Family Justice Center. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Program Director and follows a Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm schedule.

You will greet clients, assess needs, provide information and referrals, enter data into the FJC database daily, and coordinate appointments while upholding confidentiality and trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Associate degree and relevant work experience or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary, diverse team.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered engagement with survivors of domestic and gender-based violence.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients at reception, check in appointments, and assess walk-ins.
• Provide information, referrals, and follow-up as needed.
• Coordinate client flow, schedule future appointments, and link to on-site/off-site services.
• Enter client information into the FJC database daily.
• Maintain confidentiality and coordinate with FJC staff and partners.
