Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) on Staten Island seeks a Frontline Advocate to greet clients, assess needs, and connect them with on-site and off-site services within the Family Justice Center network. This full-time, on-site role supports survivors of domestic and gender-based violence with crisis intervention and referrals.

Formación

• Associate degree and relevant work experience or at least three years of experience with survivors of domestic and gender-based violence.
• Bilingual or multilingual fluency required; Arabic, Russian, Spanish, or Uzbek preferred.
• Understanding dynamics of domestic and gender-based violence and trauma-informed engagement practices.
• Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team and commitment to equity and quality service.

Responsabilidades

• Staff the Reception Desk, greet all clients respectfully and use telephonic interpretation as needed.
• Answer the telephone and provide information and referrals as needed.
• Call back voicemails and conduct virtual screenings when required.
• Provide clients with FJC-related documents and explain services available.
• Coordinate client flow and scheduling of future appointments; link to on-site and off-site services.
