Arab-American Family Support Center in Queens, NY seeks a Client Navigator to greet clients, conduct initial safety assessments, and guide them through the Family Justice Center service model. You will work onsite Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, connecting survivors to case management, civil legal aid, and supportive services.

The role requires an Associate degree and at least two years of relevant experience with survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, plus a trauma-informed, client-centered

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree required and at least 2 years of relevant work experience with survivors of domestic and gender-based violence
• Experience working with diverse communities and trauma-informed engagement practices
• Commitment to survivor-centered advocacy and confidentiality protocols

Aufgaben

• Welcome clients to the FJC and provide an overview of services and confidentiality policies
• Screen clients to assess eligibility and service needs, including legal and safety considerations
• Call back voicemails and conduct virtual screenings as needed
• Notify supervisor and ENDGBV/FJC staff of high‑risk clients
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when needed
• Refer clients for case management, mental health counseling, civil legal aid, or law enforcement liaison
• Walk-in clients: screen and connect to their assigned case manager or perform safety assessment
• Provide service referrals and warm hand-offs if not eligible for FJC services
• Maintain ongoing communication about wait times and next steps
• Coordinate with District Attorney’s Office staff to arrange appointments
• Enter client data daily into the FJC database and track follow-ups
• Solicit client feedback and coordinate post-visit surveys and follow-up services
• Provide coverage for Front-Line Advocate when needed
• Adhere to confidentiality practices and agency protocols
• Support organizational mission through additional duties as agreed
