Job summary

The Arab‑American Family Support Center (AAFSC) in New York City seeks an Anti‑Violence Program Case Manager to join the Family Justice Center team on Staten Island. The role provides crisis intervention, safety planning and survivor‑centered case management to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and related trauma, with referrals and advocacy on behalf of survivors.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BSW in human services or related field required.
• Fluency in Spanish or Arabic preferred; reading/writing proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with domestic violence, trafficking, refugees or related populations preferred.
• Counseling, community organizing, and/or group work experience preferred.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• U.S. Work Authorization required; background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake to assess risk and determine service needs.
• Provide ongoing safety planning and survivor-centered case management.
• Engage in crisis intervention with law enforcement, DA offices, hospitals, and other service providers.
• Provide information and filing-support regarding orders of protection and court accompaniment to victims/survivors.
• Assist clients with public assistance, housing/shelter applications and government entitlements; filing support.
• Prepare OVS compensation claims and submit at least 3 applications per month.
• Identify and refer clients to outside therapeutic, legal, and other services.
• Maintain thorough case files and regular funder reports.
• Attend trainings, workshops, and supervisory meetings to ensure best-practice knowledge.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and statistics.
• Develop informational materials and present on domestic violence dynamics and resources.
• Attend weekly individual and monthly group supervision meetings.
• Participate in meetings on behalf of AAFSC and perform other duties as assigned by Director.
