Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Solutions Architect for its Frontier Engineering team to act as the technical bridge between sales and delivery, guiding customers from discovery to delivery of Snowflake data platform solutions.

In this role you will lead architecture workshops, produce scope artifacts, mentor engineers, and help craft reusable patterns, while communicating with executives. Ability to travel to customer sites and fluency in English and Japanese are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer-facing tech roles spanning pre-sales or post-sales consulting.
• Experience at intersection of sales and delivery for enterprise deals.
• Proven ability to design and present enterprise-scale data platform solutions.
• Japanese business sales cycles experience.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data analytics or AI/ML.
• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with scoping, architecture docs, and SOWs.
• Data modelling, ETL/ELT, governance, and modern data architectures.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Partner ecosystem experience with SI's.
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Japanese and business English.
• Willingness to travel on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource during services sales cycle.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and PoCs.
• Architect delivery-ready Snowflake solutions.
• Produce technical scoping artifacts and SOW inputs.
• Build trusted relationships with customer tech stakeholders.
• Provide technical thought leadership for opportunities and objections.
• Participate in delivery engagements on select projects.
• Contribute to reusable solution patterns and collateral.
• Mentor Practice Managers and Architects on communication.
• Provide feedback to Product/Engineering on needs.
