Job summary

Sift (Telemetry Today) is seeking a frontend engineer to build the user-facing surfaces for AI-powered agents. You will shape interactions, streaming responses, and long-running tasks while ensuring the UI remains fast and polished across large telemetry datasets.

You will collaborate with backend engineers and product teams, owning frontend decisions from early MVPs through iterative improvements. Relocation to LA is possible; in-person collaboration twice weekly is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Have built complex, high-performance web applications with React, NextJS, TypeScript, or similar.
• Excellent eye for detail in UI, latency, and micro-interactions.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend surfaces where Sift Agents live and ensure they feel great.
• Design interaction patterns of agentic UX: streaming responses, long-running tasks, interruptions.
• Render agent findings alongside telemetry and keep UI fast with large data.
• Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design that powers agent sessions.
• Contribute to component libraries to keep UI patterns consistent across the product.
