Job summary

Sift is seeking a senior software engineer to own a product area of our AI-powered hardware telemetry platform. You will talk directly to customers, decide what to build, and ship from MVP through iterations.

You’ll design agentic UX patterns, optimize performance on large telemetry data, contribute to the UI library, and collaborate with backend teams on API design for agent sessions. Relocation to LA or SF is possible.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Own a product area: talking to customers, deciding what to build, and shipping it.
Built complex, high-performance web apps with React, NextJS, TypeScript, or similar.
Attention to detail: micro-interactions, latency, FPS, polish that separates good UIs from great ones.
Curious about new AI products: try new agents, models, features and have opinions about them.

Responsibilities

Talk directly to customers and partner with product to turn workflows into agent capabilities.
Build the frontend surfaces where Sift Agents live and ensure great UX.
Design interaction patterns of agentic UX: streaming responses, long-running tasks, interruptions.
Render an agent’s findings alongside the telemetry and keep it fast with large data.
Contribute to the component library for consistent UI patterns across the product.
Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design powering agent sessions.
