Sift is seeking a Software Engineer, Frontend to build the browser experience for Sift Agents in a hybrid San Francisco role. You will shape agent interactions and render findings alongside large telemetry data, collaborating with backend engineers to ship a robust frontend.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in fast, data-heavy web apps, strong React/TypeScript skills, and a passion for high-performance UI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building high-performance web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to design frontend UX for streaming responses and long-running tasks.
• Strong collaboration with customers and backend engineers.
• Interest in AI-driven product experiences and agentic UI patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend surfaces for Sift Agents and enable streaming responses and interruptions.
• Render agent findings alongside large telemetry datasets while preserving browser performance.
• Improve performance using Web Workers, OPFS caching, and architecture patterns.
• Contribute to a shared component library to ensure consistent UI across the product.
• Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design powering agent sessions.
