Job summary

Sift, a data infrastructure platform for hardware engineering teams, is hiring for a product engineering role focused on Sift Agents—AI agents that review telemetry and answer questions quickly. You will talk to customers, define features from MVP to iterations, and build frontend surfaces for agent experiences.

You'll work with React, NextJS, and TypeScript to own a product area, collaborating with backend teams on API design and ensuring fast, responsive interfaces for large datasets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building high-performance web applications with React, NextJS, TypeScript.
• Ability to own a product area: talk to customers, decide what to build, and ship it.
• Attention to detail: micro-interactions, latency, FPS, and polish in interfaces.
• Curiosity about AI products and forming opinions on agent capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers and partner with product to turn real review workflows into agent capabilities: dashboards, analysis scripts, and insights.
• Build the frontend surfaces where Sift Agents live and ensure they feel great.
• Design interaction patterns for agent UX: streaming responses, long-running tasks, interruptions, and showing agent work to engineers.
• Render agent findings alongside telemetry, keeping performance high with large datasets.
• Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design powering agent sessions.
