Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Arnold, MO is seeking a Front Office Specialist to serve as the first contact for patients and manage check-in/out with friendly, professional service.

You will support the office with scheduling, insurance verifications, payments, and patient flow, while adhering to HIPAA and company policies. No prior eyecare experience required; training provided and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; optometry/ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent
• Background check favorable per state requirements
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones and assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Respect patient time and doctor schedules with urgency.
• Double check insurance authorizations for accuracy.
• Process checkouts and collect payments per procedures.
• Manage patient flow and communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Close day reconciliations and cash drawer accordingly.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Perform general office duties and assist as directed by the manager
