Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Topeka, KS is seeking a friendly Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact and help create a world-class Total Patient Experience.

You will handle check-in/out, schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with basic office tasks while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of customer/patient interaction, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service.
• Practice urgency at all times with consideration to the patient’s time and schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and build accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow in the office and communicate to maximize efficiency and customer service.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer.
• Comply with HIPAA and other company policies and procedures.
• General office duties and tasks as assigned by the manager
