Job summary

The Standard, Brussels is offering a Front Office Intern role, giving hands-on exposure to Front Office and Guest Experience operations at a vibrant lifestyle hotel.

You'll support check-ins/outs, guest inquiries and facilities guidance, while learning hotel systems and collaborating with Housekeeping, Engineering and other teams. This is a dynamic opportunity to grow in hospitality with creativity and personality.

Qualifications

• Be studying Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related discipline, ideally seeking an internship as part of their academic programme
• Have a genuine interest in Front Office operations, guest relations and lifestyle hospitality
• Be naturally warm, confident and comfortable engaging with guests from all walks of life
• Bring energy, creativity, curiosity and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences
• Have good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure
• Be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and eager to learn hotel systems and guest service technology
• Be a team player who's adaptable, reliable and enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different departments
• Have an interest in lifestyle hospitality, music, art, culture and Brussels' vibrant social scene
• Have a good working knowledge of French and English; additional languages are a plus
• Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the agreed internship programme

Responsibilities

• support daily Front Office operations, from welcoming guests and assisting with check-ins and check-outs to handling guest enquiries, billing, telephone calls and luggage requests
• help guests discover our hotel facilities, respond to special requests and ensure every interaction reflects our 'Anything but Standard' approach to hospitality
• gain experience using our hotel systems, coordinating guest requests and working closely with Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey
• develop the confidence, communication skills and attention to detail that make great hospitality feel effortless
