Job Description

A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assist guests with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, handling payments, processing credit and debit cards, accepting various payment forms, converting foreign currency, and processing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information such as room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details; answer guest inquiries.
  • Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Handle guest complaints, conduct research, and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Experience with Hilton systems preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
