Job summary

Meijer in Avon, OH is seeking an Asset Protection team member to help maintain a safe shopping environment. You will actively identify unsafe conditions, deter theft through presence and engagement, respond quickly to alerts, and document incidents to protect customers and store assets.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of customer service or asset protection experience, and strong communication. Physical movement throughout the store and ability to lift 0–25 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience or asset protection experience.
• Clear and professional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to move throughout work area for long periods of time.
• Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently.
• Ability to learn and interact with new technology solutions.
• Ability to document incidents using technology.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations.
• Prevent theft through active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms.
• Reduce store disruption using de-escalation techniques.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents.
