Job summary

GFL Industries in Texas seeks a Front-End Driver to service commercial and multi-family routes, collecting waste and recyclables and transporting to designated facilities. You will operate frontload or ancillary equipment along assigned routes and interact with customers.

The role requires a valid CDL, at least one year of commercial truck driving experience or a CDL school certificate, and the ability to meet safety criteria.

Qualifications

• CDL license or CDL School Certificate required.
• Minimum of 1 year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety sensitive functions criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport to facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates and move cans as needed for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; notify supervisor of issues.
• Clean up loose trash around truck and site to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain and submit route logs and vehicle condition reports as required by law/policy.
• Back up using mirrors and follow maps/GPS to service addresses.
• Follow all safety procedures and company rules on vehicle operation.
