Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks on multiple residential and commercial routes, collecting waste and recyclables per customer contracts. You will transfer loads to appropriate facilities and maintain daily route records.

The role requires a valid CDL and at least one year of truck driving experience. Strong safety awareness, customer interaction, and GPS navigation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks on designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables.
• Open container enclosures and roll cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers along the route and respond to requests.
• Keep truck and surroundings clean; monitor for spills and hazards.
• Maintain and submit daily route logs and vehicle condition reports.
• Back up using mirrors to align with spaces; use GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety standards and company rules for vehicle operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned
