Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks serving multi-family and commercial routes, transporting waste or recyclables to appropriate facilities.

The role involves daily route execution, customer interaction, and adherence to safety protocols. Qualified candidates will hold a CDL or CDL school certificate, with at least one year of driving experience, and demonstrate strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria under company standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and dump loads.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and public; notify supervisor of issues.
• Clean truck and surrounding area to maintain cleanliness and safety at customer sites.
• Maintain logs and route productivity sheets as required by law and policy.
• Back up with mirrors and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety standards and company rules for vehicle operation.
