Job summary

Cavender’s in Humble, TX is seeking a Head Cashier to lead our front-end team and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will process transactions accurately, train cashiers, and support daily store operations while upholding company standards.

As a key store leader, you’ll ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor, handle POS transactions, coach others, and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash transactions.
• Train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the shift.
• Safely use store equipment and follow age requirements where applicable.
• Maintain flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Read and understand English and stay alert during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting customers and thanking them.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions.
• Train and support cashiers on POS procedures and company policies.
• Assist leadership by monitoring front-end operations and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and displays.
• Follow company policies and assist with merchandising updates and price changes.
• Report to work on time and uphold a neat, professional appearance.
