Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a busy cashier team and ensure exemplary customer service at the register. You will mentor cashiers, handle scheduling, and assist with store operations to deliver a smooth, friendly checkout experience.

The role requires 1–2 years cashiering with leadership training, a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and strong math and communication skills to train new staff and resolve issues on the floor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of cashiering experience and leadership training.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs change.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment (register, scanner, calculator) and perform basic math with accuracy.
• Strong communication, teamwork and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and support staff; provide direction and guidance at registers.
• Assist with customer service issues at the checkout and at the exit; ensure smooth operations.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Hire and train new cashiers and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain security by monitoring cash handling and keeping areas clean and organized.
