Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in California seeks a Key Carrier to supervise front-end staff and manage operations in the absence of the Assistant Center Store Manager. You will ensure exceptional customer service, front-end performance, and compliance while directing Clerks and Clerk Helpers to achieve store objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum age is 18.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in supervision and training preferred.
• Knowledge of front-end operations and check stand procedures.
• Ability to read and write to complete documentation.
• Knowledge of compliance and basic contract/work rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by training staff and ensuring accountability for service.
• Manage front-end performance and productivity (tills, cash handling, EBT/WIC compliance, receipts).
• Direct Clerks and Clerk Helpers with focus on accountability and high business performance area.
• Ensure front-end and parking lot conditions meet standards (merchandising, cleanliness, carts).
• Perform store balancing and front-end management functions (refunds/returns, loans/pickups, check authorization).
• Monitor customer experience on the front-end and support store operations while management is unavailable.
