Job summary

The Save Mart Companies is hiring for a Key Carrier to direct the front-end staff in the absence of the Assistant Center Store Manager. This role ensures optimal front-end customer service, performance, productivity, and compliance, and trains front-end associates to reflect our mission and winning behaviors.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good training skills.
• Strong skills in supervision and coordination.
• Good counting and math skills.
• Ability to read and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Knowledge of Front-end operations and check stand procedures.
• Knowledge of compliance and basic applicable contract/work rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by training staff and enforcing service standards.
• Manage front-end performance and productivity (tills, cash handling, and compliance).
• Direct Clerks and Clerk Helpers toward high performance.
• Ensure front-end and parking lot conditions meet standards.
• Perform store balancing and bookkeeping functions.
• Handle front-end management tasks (refunds/returns, check authorizations, etc.).
• Monitor customer experience on front-end.
• Occasionally supervise total store operations in absence of management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
