Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and ensure outstanding customer service at our Austin store.

You will supervise cashiers, assist with operational issues, and help train new staff while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and front-end procedures. The role requires a friendly, dependable leader who can multi-task and adapt to a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or GED with 1–2 years cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation; able to work in a team and handle numbers accurately.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Proactively support cashiers and courtesy clerks to ensure excellent customer service.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks; hire and train new cashiers; enforce policy and safety standards.
• Maintain front-end equipment and cash handling accuracy; monitor supplies and cleanliness in common areas.
• Assist customers with register-related questions and resolve issues promptly.
