Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience by leading front-end operations. You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain standards, and assign work to cashiers and service desk teams to meet productivity and service goals.

You will coach staff, optimize labor utilization, resolve customer issues, and drive front-end accountability and satisfaction. This role emphasizes teamwork and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency.
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when leadership is not present.
• Coordinate and drive actions involving shrink and financial outcomes; escalate concerns to leadership as they arise.
• Lead community programs and engage team member resource groups.
• Train team members in their span of care and mentor on the job.
• Serve as SME for market programs, pilots, and training programs.
• Assign tasks within the department and ensure completion.
