Job summary

Food Lion in Mint Hill, NC is seeking a customer-focused Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain accurate front-end operations in a busy retail environment.

You will greet customers by name when possible, process transactions at the register, assist with cashier and service center duties, and help keep the front end neat, secure and compliant with store policies while upholding Food Lion standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform functions.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service.
• Greet customers and use their name when possible.
• Avoid personal conversations with customers present.
• Complete office functions using accounting packets and report variances.
• Maintain knowledge of cash reports, deposits, Western Union, money orders.
• Keep front end neat and presentable and manage register functions.
