Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations and support cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to ensure a smooth checkout experience. This full-time role requires strong coaching, scheduling, and collaboration across shifts.

You will coordinate tasks, monitor front-end performance, and drive customer satisfaction while engaging in community programs and staff development.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (Cashier, Service Desk, Courtesy Team)
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment
• Good communication skills, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, with urgency
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Physically able to perform lifting and other activities as required
• Role may involve varying weights of physical activities depending on shift and staffing

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoffs between shifts
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when leadership is not present
• Coordinate actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes within areas of responsibility
• Proactively raise concerns to leadership as they arise
• Champion participation in community programs and lead by example with team member engagement
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care
• Assign tasks to team members within the department and ensure completion
