Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead and support front-end operations, ensuring a high-quality shopping experience.

You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end standards, and assign work to cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service goals. You will coach and train teammates, serve as SME for programs, and drive performance through shift handoffs, task management, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and maneuver tasks as required by shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and hand off between shifts for smooth operation.
• Oversee front-end cleanliness, standards, and cashier/desk/courtesy team tasks.
• Coach and train team members; certify trainers for span of care.
• Assign tasks within department; monitor completion with team leader.
• Manage shrink and financial outcomes within areas of responsibility.
• Lead community program participation and role-model leadership.
• Act as SME for market programs and company pilots.
