Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Service Coordinator to lead and support front-end operations in our Michigan location. You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end standards and assign work to cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service expectations.

You will also coach team members, serve as a trainer, and act as a subject matter expert for market programs and company pilots, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completion of Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes Cashier, Service Desk, Courtesy Team)
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment
• Strong communication, customer focus and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities
• Physical ability to perform lifting and movement tasks as required by shifts

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support front-end operations to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience.
• Lead cashiers, service desk and courtesy team members; assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Coach and train team members; serve as SME for market programs and company pilots.
• Ensure front-end cleanliness and standards; manage shift handoffs between leaders.
• Monitor shrink and financial outcomes and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
